When a dietitian can help

The Hub provides general education. An Accredited Practising Dietitian can tailor advice to your symptoms, nutrition needs, culture and preferences.

For personal advice — especially for irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), or if you're cutting foods out — an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) is the right person. APD is the credential recognised across Australia. You can find one through Dietitians Australia (dietitiansaustralia.org.au), and your GP or specialist can refer you.

Always speak with your doctor about a diagnosis, your symptoms, or any change in your health.

General gut-health education from your care team. It doesn't replace advice from your doctor or an Accredited Practising Dietitian — please talk to them about your own situation.
