Does this replace my dietitian?

No — and it's not meant to. This hub gives general education to help you understand your gut and prepare for your care. It can't give you a plan tailored to you.

For personal advice — especially for irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), or if you're cutting foods out — an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) is the right person. APD is the credential recognised across Australia. You can find one through Dietitians Australia (dietitiansaustralia.org.au), and your GP or specialist can refer you.

Always speak with your doctor about a diagnosis, your symptoms, or any change in your health.

General gut-health education from your care team. It doesn't replace advice from your doctor or an Accredited Practising Dietitian — please talk to them about your own situation.
